Waterfront properties in Nova Scotia

One of the best provinces to live in Canada if you want a waterfront property is Nova Scotia!

Nova Scotia is on the Eastern side of Canada.  The real estate market, especially in waterfront homes is very affordable.  Having lived in the UK and now living in Nova Scotia I would never have been able to afford a lakefront home in the UK.  Halifax, Dartmouth and the surrounding areas have plenty of what I would call luxurious lakefront and oceanfront real estate available.  Some houses are set on small pieces of land and others have an abundance of it.  Newer homes are being built on smaller pieces of land, but there are plenty of great older homes available on the market at the moment which would appeal to everyone.

The majority of lakes are rocky, which does cause a problem if you wish to own a motor boat, but nowhere is ever far from the ocean and many people have their boats at a local marina.

Lakefront homes for sale are plentiful and typically lakefrontage will add an extra $100k to your price.  Oceanfront properties for sale Nova Scotia are generally higher priced than lakefront, but by comparison to Vancouver there is no contest in the pricing.  Nova Scotia real estate is far more affordable.
